What are cookies? "Cookies" is a term born of the internet. It is used to describe a packet of information that a host computer (in this case, our web server)
places on the hard drive of a client computer (your computer). Each computer is assigned a unique identification number that allows us to identify you as long as you connect from the same computer. You
can enable or disable cookies through your browser. You benefit when your cookies are enabled because it enables us to recall items you have put on hold from previous shopping visits and to recall your
customer account. This will save you the inconvienence of having to re-enter it each time.
For Internet Explorer and AOL users on Windows '95, '98, and NT, click on the "Start" menu, choose "Settings" and then "Control Panel". When "Control Panel" opens, click on
the "Internet Options" icon, which will open the "Internet Properties" menu. Cookie options will be under either the "Advanced" tab or the "Security" tab. In Netscape Navigator, click pulling down the
"Edit" menu on the menu bar, clicking on the "Preferences" option, and selecting the "Advanced" tab which will display your "Cookie" options. If you cannot find the cookie settings in any of these places,
please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for instructions.
